Hundreds of bandits have been killed and arrested in Zamfara according to Governor Matawalle.
According to Zamfara Governor Bello Matawale, hundreds of bandits have been killed or apprehended.
The Governor vowed that the State Government would not tolerate laxity in the fight against bandits.
He delivered remarks at the inauguration of the Secretary of State, the Head of Service, 18 commissioners, 16 special advisers, and three Director-Generals.
Matawalle stated that Zamfara was in a critical situation and was attempting to escape “the woods” with bandits being apprehended.
The Governor attributed recent successes to security measures that were put in place to flush out criminals.
“Hundreds of bandits have been killed, and several others, as well as hundreds of informants and their collaborators, have been apprehended.”
Matawalle went on to say that his administration had begun palliative care to alleviate the suffering of the people.
He pleaded with them to be patient as network services and socioeconomic activities were shut down.
